WHAT IS HEC FORUM?
Empowering Cooperative Extension ServicesThe Hawai’i Extension Climate Forum (HEC) is focused on building capacity within the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa’s (CTAHR-UHM) Cooperative Extension Services (CES) to effectively incorporate climate science and climate-related information into CES programs and identify locally relevant strategies for climate adaptation.
The overarching goal of the HEC Forum is to empower Hawai’i and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands CES programs to support climate adaptation in their programming to better sustain food security, ecosystem services, and local health and livelihoods. |
The HEC Forum will take place over two days: Wednesday, June 7th to Thursday, June 8th, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Imin Conference Center at the East-West Center in Honolulu, HI.
